  11. Hey sup guys its Colten its Oct,26,09 what do you think of the social issues in the first three chapters of To Kill a MockingBird? I think its daring and a little negitive. I also think life was har for black people and even so white people. What do you guys think?

  12. What do you guys think of Boo Radly, what do you think he's going to be like in this story. I think he's going to be some white sico that causes trouble for people and himself.

  13. how would you guys discribe Boo Radly Oh by the way Its Colten again. I would discribe him as a seven foot white male that has mental issues and is also violent when it come's to family and family fewed's.

  14. Hey, It's Kasondra. I think the book is okay, not one of my favorites. Boo Radly sounds like a creepy guy but what do I know? Um... Boo Radly, in my mind, would be described as a six foot guy with a mental issues, which I agree with Colten, and that he has problems with his family. I'm only on chapter 4 because I missed three days of school last week and I'm a little behind. But I'll catch up! I'm a fast reader.

  19. In the story I think that Atticus's sister is Scout's enemy in the story. She is determined to get Scout into a dress, against her will.
I can relate beause, my mom wants me to go and water and feed the horses as well as clean my room.Aunt Alexandra is a real pain by the sounds of it, she seems to be a lady of upper upper class and very hoity toity.

  20. Some of Scout's family member's have told her that she is a tomboy, and she should'nt be wearing overals and wearing dresses and start being lady like.

  21. I also believe that in the story Aunt Alexandra, Atticus's sister, is one of Scout's main problems. I like your analogy comparing Scout's struggles to your own. I also could compare both of my parents to Aunt Alexandra because, at times, both of my parents boss me around and tell me what to do. I believe in the book Aunt Alexandra is trying to do what's best for Scout, but she does it in a harsh and rash way.

  23. I think the mocking bird symbolizes how humble Scout and the African Americans are in the story. i also think it is a symdole of equality.

  24. Hey, it's Kasondra. Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Medical problems. I'm on chapter 10 and it's hard to concentrate when your dizzy and have a splitting headache. I'll try and catch up but it will be awhile. I'm missing a lot of school, too. Please don't hate me. I'll catch up! Promise.

  25. Hey guys, I am Ashley from Ms. Johnson's honors class. You looked like you have been having some problems keeping up so i thought i might be able to help.

    Focus 8 Expand:

Some of the major turning points in TKAM are:

1.When Scout started school because this is when Atticus first tells her about having to walk around in other people's skin before making judgements, and also it is when she starts most of her growing and maturing.

2.When Aunt Alexandra comes to live with the Finches. She introduces Scout to the ways of being a lady, and changes much about the way that the children behave and live.

    3. The Tom Robinson trial is one of the biggest. It teaches the children about how not everything is fair, and it helps them do much personal emotional growing. It also is what turns the book in the direction it needs to be for the ending.

How about you guys? Any that you can think of?
